McDonald Bros Racing have been building or modifying street rods, street machines and drag vehicles for 40 years and with our vast experience we can offer you any type of modification imaginable to your project.

INSTALLING COIL OVER SHOCKERS IN HQ-WB HOLDEN

To install vertically mounted QA1 over shocks requires removing the original upper crossmember from the chassis rails, creating clearance of the floor panel to install the units and reinforcing the chassis rails before installing the crossmember and bracketry. Adjustable upper and lower trailing arms were also installed for maximum adjustability.

1969 CAMARO SUSPENSION MODS

This Camaro was bead blasted and found to be not in very good condition. We had to fabricate new rear chassis rails and set them in to be able to fit the 20 x 10 rims and set the vehicle up to sit very low. As we were designing a bolt in tri 4 link QA1 coil over kit for this range of Camaros we incorporated it into this vehicle. The diff is a new heavy duty housing and 35 spline floater, the brakes will be 330 mm units.

VB TO VN COMMODORE SUSPENSION MODS

The recommended modifications to set up an early Commodore are adjustable upper trailing arms, tubular lower trailing arms and diff bracketry, QA1 coil over shockers and an adjustable panhard bar. Also requested was an anti roll bar (not recommended for street application) and mini tubs to fit a 28 x 9.5 x 15 slick.

FORD FALCON XD

Installation of Ladder bar chassis clip, QA1 coil overs, fabricated competition housing, Moser axles, Wilwood brakes, full tubs and competition roll cage.

VALIANT INDEPENDENT FRONT END

The customer required the removal of the torsion bar front suspension, installation of tubular double wishbone, QA1 coil over suspension and rack and pinion steering. The chassis had to be boxed for strength and the supports added.

55 Chev - Air Bags

Customer requested the installation of Air Bags in the HQ Holden front crossmember graft and stainless steel tri 4 link in the rear.

The Customer required a chassis clip, mini tubs, tri angle 4 link, coil over shockers, fabricated diff housing, disc brakes, anti roll bar and most importantly retain the rear seat.
